9.2 패치에 새롭게 등장하는 콘텐츠 중 하나로 '원시 개체 제작' (가칭, Protoform Synthesis)이 있다. 해당 콘텐츠는 공식 영상에는 나오지 않았지만 해외 매체인 'Starting Zone'과 모건 데이가 진행한 인터뷰 및 데이터마이닝을 통해 확인됐다.

진행 방식은 격전의 아제로스 메카곤의 '고철장 땜질'과 비슷하다. 신규 지역 '제레스 모르티스'에서 특정 재료를 모아 수집품을 제작하는 콘텐츠다. 아직 수집품을 만드는데 필요한 재료를 얻는 방법에 대해선 공개된 바 없다.

'고철장 땜질'과의 차이점은 일부 고급 재료들이 계정 귀속이라는 점이다. 이에 따라 보조 캐릭터를 다수 활용할 수 록 재료를 보다 수월하게 수집할 수 있다.

합성에 필요한 재료 - 계정 귀속과 아닌 것으로 분류

각 재료를 얻는 정확한 방법은 알려진 바 없지만 메카곤의 '고철장 땜질' 콘텐츠의 전례를 봤을 때 제레스 모르티스의 희귀 몬스터, 각종 퀘스트 및 보물 찾기 등을 통해 얻을 수 있을 것으로 추측된다.
