Login Queue Reconnect Testing

Greetings Summoners!

Today we will be conducting some testing around our Login Queue. Everyone hates Login Queues, right?

However, as part of this test, we may briefly disconnect you from the servers in order to test out functionality that we hope will shorten connection times for those that get disconnected from games (due to networking issues) in a real life situation.

If you get disconnected from the game, you may see your screen gray out with a reconnect banner. When you’re in this situation on the live service, we generally recommend waiting for the game to reconnect, as it is usually the fastest way to return into game. However, for the purposes of this test, we’re looking for volunteers-- who’ve been disconnected from in-game-- to try restarting their client by closing the client (Alt+F4) and running the client again. This will mean logging in again, but we’re hoping the experience is more seamless and less painful with the new feature. A screenshot of the new feature is attached.

If you get disconnected from the game and decide to close the client to restart/re-login, we’d like you to let us know if you ran into any funkiness. Some things to look out for IF you experience this: o Loss of functionality in the Air Client (inability to purchase, inability to look at your Summoner Profile, inability to chat) o Unable to reconnect to the game (If you get this option, does it work? What happened, if it didn’t work?) o Are any issues experienced once the game is finished? Is it just like finishing a normal game?

저희는 오늘부터 로그인 대기열에 관한 조금의 실험을 실시할 것입니다. 모두가 대기열을 싫어하죠. 안 그렇습니까?

 

하지만 이 실험 중에는 (네트워크 문제 등으로) 서버와의 연결이 끊기는 등의 실제 상황에서 기능이 잘 동작하는지 확인하기 위해 게임에서 튕겨야 하는 게 있습니다. (무작위로 정해서 튕기게 한다는 말같네요.. 오역 지적바랍니다)

 

만약 당신이 게임에서 튕겼다면, 당신은 회색 화면 위에 "재접속 시도 중" 같은게 떠있는 것을 보실 수 있을 것입니다. 이런 일을 본래 서버에서 겪었을 때는 우리는 재접속할 때까지 기다리라고, 그게 가장 빨리 게임에 들어가는 길이라고 권고하지만, 이 실험의 목적을 위해 우리는 자원봉사자들-- 인게임에서 튕긴-- 을 찾고 있습니다. 게임 클라이언트를 강제종료(Alt+F4) 하고 다시 열면 됩니다. 즉슨 재로그인을 하라는 것입니다. 하지만 우리는 이 새로운 기능이 좀 더 현하고 덜 고통스러운 경험이 되기를 바랍니다. 새로운 기능의 스샷도 첨부하였습니다. (밑에 사진이 있습니다)

 

만약 당신이 게임에서 튕겼고 클라이언트를 다시 열고 재로그인하기로 결심했다면(그리고 이미 했다면), 저희는 당신이 어떤 퀴퀴한(funkiness) 것에 봉착했는지 알고 싶습니다. 

 

당신이 이 몇 가지 문제를 경험했는지 알고 싶습니다-

o Air Client 기능의 손실 (구매 불가, 소환사 프로필 열람 불가, 채팅 불가 등)

o 게임 재접속 불가 현상 (이 문제에 걸릴 경우에, 이 기능이 작동했나? 무슨 일이 일어났나? 또는 작동하지 않았나?)

o 게임이 끝날 때 특별한 현상은 없었나? 그냥 보통 게임을 끝낼 때와 똑같았나?

 

어떤 피드백이라도 주시면 감사하겠습니다!
