A : 추종자는 없다.
A : 어려운 문제다.
A : 조정중에 있다.
A : 오 질문 좋은데?
A : 없다.
Kongor: Alright, so what's up guys? King Kongor here. I'm sitting with Josh, and we're gonna ask alot of questions I've posted on Facebook, what you guys wanted to know about the upcoming expansion of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls.
So, we're gonna ask all of them. I have my phone here, I have Josh here, so, we're gonna start. And I wanna start right away about the itemization, why did you guys decide not to use runewords in Diablo 3?
Josh: Oh that's, that's a good question, and you know we found that, with when we released Diablo 3, you know with alot of the things we've done especially with the gems or the runes, really, the runes became the runewords. We thought it's really very interesting, to tie them into the skill system.
Kongor: Ah, okay. Another questiom from one of my viewers, is, they're wondering about the chat system. Diablo 3, I mean, Diablo 2 had a great chat system, where you can enter people their rooms, like any one, like some people were really crazy you could see they were really good, they had like a special avatar. How do you guys feel about the Diablo 3 chat, do you feel that it can be improved? Because alot of people say they don't use the chat, and it's really hard to find new friends.
Josh: Aboslutely, and that is a... one of the things that we're not currently ready to reveal, but we definately have plans on how to really improve the connectivity, the online experiences, it's been one of the big focuses of Reaper of Souls, so come to Blizzcon, they'll be some surprises.
Kongor: Looking forward to that! Also, another question was, let me quickly look, is there gonna be a new follower?
Josh: A new follower? (Yes.) You know what, we thought about that, but then we looked at the followers we currently have, and we realized that we could probably do more with the followers we have and actually make them feel that they're part of the story, particularly even more so we decided that instead of adding a new follower, that we were going to take the existing followers and really go deep with them. One of the things you guys will be able to expect to do, is when you play Act V, is that each of the followers have their own little sidequest. So you'll learn more about some of the followers, and infact you'll get to meet the scoundrel's brother.
Kingor: Wow. Again, looking forward to that. Of course, you know, I already asked you about PvP but my viewers will kill me if I didn't ask. Is there gonna be the arena, and maybe some kind of way to balance PvP out with gear and skill sets, banning certain skill sets?
Josh: So you know, the whole PvP question is, the day that we have something to announce is going to be a really awesome day. For you guys, for us, for everyone, but until the day comes the team right now is, well, first of all focused on getting Reaper out, but we're also really exploring the right for PvP in Diablo. It is one of those things that at the surface seem like, oh, it makes alot of sense, but it's actually a very complicated design problem and, you know, we have some experiments, we've been thinking about it, but right now the focus is getting Reaper, and Loot 2.0, and all the great things we have packed into Reaper of Souls out first.
Kongor: Alright, actually about Loot 2.0. Personal question is: Will there ever be a method to add sockets to your own gear?
Josh: You know, that's--
Kongor: It would change alot (Yes), with the reward that the game gives you, because right now, you can find a really nice sword, and it doesn't have a socket, it's garbage.
Josh: That is one of the things that we've talked about, and we're still...in the whole enchanting system, which is one of the new things we are adding, to the mystic, is it's definately one of the things that keeps coming up in conversations but in alot of ways the mystic really sorta fills that role with enchanting. You know, being able to reroll any affix and sorta get anything else in it's stead. A really sorta cool way to really customize and tweak those items exactly how you want them.
Kongor: Alright, about the, what's it called again? (Back and forth)
"The new artisan?"
"Yea."
"So it's the mystic."
"The mystic."
"And the mystic can do two things. She can transmogrify --"
"That's fantastic."
"Yes, it's going to be so much fun to finally be able to customize the appearance of your character without losing or sacrificing any of your power, and then enchanting is the other."
"Alright, about the enchanting, when you reroll each stat, is it going to be all the stats--
"No!"
"Or can you choose specific--
Josh: You can specifically choose the stat you want, so if you have a, this is for a barbarian right you have this awesome legendary but it has intelligence and you always wanted to change that. You can select that one stat, pay the crafting cost and the gold cost, and it will choose another one, and it will swap with it."
Kongor: I think the entire world wants to hug you now. Like, I'm serious, like I wanna hug you now, that's fantastic. It changes alot. So that is, like I'm so happy with these changes cause right now it felt like the game was very unrewarding and this is gonna completely change up everything, and indeed it's gonna make the currency of items like alot better."
Josh: During the whole sort of development over the last year, or the evolution of the game as we were sort of reacting to feedback, and I think the thing to really keep in mind is that, when we talk about the community, we're part of that community, too, right, we play this game all the time and you know there are things about it that drive us nuts as well, but you know we have to take a sorta long term approach to make sure they're really addressing the right things, and that's why the whole philosphy around Loot 2.0 is essentially, 'less, better, more epic, but why?' and the reason why is because we wanna make playing the game the most fun, most rewarding, the most satisfying way to get items.
Kongor: Well that's fantastic. Another question, let's see, cause I lost the question in my head...so there are so many right now. Will there be changes to the Auction House?
Josh: So, you know the Auction House is a really, really, complex issues, right, and I think --(Alot of people are very angry because of this)--you know, for sure, but I think to give you guys some context, we still feel that the original intent of the auction house is really valid. Trading is a key aspect of Diablo--- (Interrupted by Gamescon broadcast speakers.)
Kongor: Sorry about the noise, we're restarting our question, so, Will there be changes to the auction house?
Josh: You know, the auction house is a very complex element of Diablo, and to give you guys some context, we still feel that the original intent behind the auction house is still a valid and really needed. Trading items is one of the core aspects of Diablo, and like it or not, there's a significant portion of our playerbase who actually attributes real world value to those items. So we have to find a way to allow them to trade those items in a safe and secure manner. In the territories where we go not have an auction house, the account comprimises are out of whack with the rest of the world. So the auction house is definately fulfilling that role. However; what we really want to make sure that happens, and this is why Loot 2.0 and the whole shift in the philosophy is because we want to make playing the game the most fun, most rewarding way to get the items. And, if you want to go to the auction house you can, but we do not want our players to feel like they need to go to the auction house.
Kongor: Alright, actually, one more question about the auction house. Right now, the max you can sell an item for an auction is either 250€, which is fine with me, but also only 2 billion [gold], and because the gold inflation has been so intense, people feel like Blizzard only cares about money, so to say, and that they want people not to sell their items through gold. I personally feel like it's a bit unfair right now, because the inflation is so crazy, and you can only sell something on the auction house for 2 billion [gold], so most people put their good items on the real money auction house, and there are certain players that refuse to use the real money auction house. And they are kinda victimized because of this. Is there plans of ever raising the cap?
Josh: You know, this is again part of the whole 'complex issue' because it's not just a design problem, it's not a UI problem, there's also a sort of like legal and commerce problem, (inaudible) problem, and it's something that we have weekly meetings to discuss and it definately something that again is really complex, and in some ways it's kinda tough to figure out, like getting healthcare in the United States, in which everyone has a different opinion, but at the end of the day, we really want to do right by the player. That has always been the primary motivation is making that players can trade safely and then this matter of making the right decisions to help guide this in the right direction.
Kongor: I personally hope the gold cap will be raised, definately... (inaudible)...auction house.
Josh: That is something that we talk about quite often.
Kongor: Okay, I got another question, about the new amazing paragon system. I really love it. Right now level 1 to 100 requires a certain amount of exp. I think 50 billion it was, because now it because unlimited paragon, will 1 to 100 be faster?
Josh: That's a good question, we're still tweaking the paragon curve that we want, so I guess it's that they could question that, come Blizzcon we'll be able to have alot more definative answer. We still want to have paragon feel always rewarding, and you know, the fact thnat you're getting paragon point to spend, but you know is also part of your progression, your accomplishment and we want to balance those two things together.
Kongor: Okay, and another question about paragon, I know the points you get per paragon, it's one point per paragon, correct?
Josh: Again, currently that is, but things are in flux, we're trying to figure out everything.
Kongor: Let's just say it's like that. I know there's a certain amount of points you can get cause there's like, utility, there's main stats and core, I think this is super amazing, about movement speed for example, right now movement speed has 25% cap. I saw that you can add alot of movement speed, I played the demo, I didn't even finish it because I was looking at all the stats, calculating everything. (Right.) I'm crazy like that. I don't really mind with the gameplay, because I know it's amazing anyway. But, I was looking at that alot, and eventually, you'll be able to put all points everywhere. But, will there be a certain cap on movement speed, or are you guys going to remove movement speed cap?
Josh: You know, that is a great question, and I think the only real answer is that we have at the moment is we're still in that tuning phase. We're playing the game alot, we're trying to figure out the right feel, trying to figure out the right rhythm and pacing to the progression, so the closer we get to shipping, the more those numbers are going to stabilize, and of course we'll be able to get alot of great feedback from the beta.
Kongor: Alright, two more question. Is the game gonna be hard in the beginning, and I hope you guys won't nerf it too much. Cause right now, I feel with Diablo, the game, the way this constantly gold is being pumped into the economy, good items are being pumped into the economy and those good items stay forever, so in a way Diablo nerfs itself. I personally feel like paragon should never have been nerfed. The other nerfs were fine, but paragon should have stayed the way it is. Is the game going to get some kind of difficulty that is really for the top of the top?
Josh: That's an awesome question, and you should come to Blizzard.
Kongor: I'm trying! So many good questions. And my last question - I need to really think. Is there gonna be another new class?
Josh: There's no second class. ANd that was somehing we decided early on. We like the clarity of 1 new villian, 1 new class, the partner up, they work quite well together. You know, with Reaper of Souls, players are not just getting a new class, they're also getting a new act, okay. You gonna get all these great new systems that are gonna make the end game sorta end game for everyone. So it's really, you know, we're really focusing on the Crusader and Malthael and Act V, and that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to
