미드 바루스가 LCS를 접수 중입니다

제 생각에 미드 바루스는 언밸런스해져 가고 있다고 봅니다. 바루스는 제라스나 직스보다 더 포킹을 잘하는 반면 (일단 블루를 얻고 나면 정신나갈 정도) 건물도 쉽게 철거합니다 (물론 바루스는 AD니까요). 를 들면 쉽게 갱하기도 어려운 데다 E로 둔화를 걸수 있으며 궁으로 위협 요소를 차단할 수도 있죠. 저는 바루스가 정규 포킹 미드 마법사들을 훨씬 능가하고 있으며, 미드 라인에서 플레이되면 안 된다고 생각합니다! 라이엇이 탑에서 강력한 모습을 보이던 를 너프한 것을 기억하죠? 또 와 는 어떻고요? 제 생각엔 바루스도 예외는 아니며 밸런싱이 가해져야 한다고 봅니다. 저는 바루스 미드가 정말로 재미없고, 특히 LCS에선 진짜 지루하다고 생각합니다. 바루스가 미니언을 뚫고 지나간 Q 한 방으로 의 피 35%를 날려 버리는 걸 보면, 뭔가 잘못되었다는 걸 알 수 있을 겁니다. 는 그런 건 못하죠.

저희는 미드 바루스를 주시하는 중이며, 일단 충분한 재사용 대기시간 감소/마나/공격력을 갖춘 뒤부터는 Q가 다소 지나치게 위압적으로 될 가능성이 확실히 있는 듯 합니다. 다만 바루스는 기동성이 떨어지고, 기본 재사용 대기시간 중 교전을 회피할 능력이 부족합니다.(역자 주: 회피기의 부재를 말하는 듯) 이 취약점은 바루스가 과거에 제이스, 니달리, 직스가 보였던 문제를 나타내지 않음을 뜻합니다.

챔피언이 어떤 포지션을 플레이하든지 플레이가 바람직하다면 저희는 괜찮다고 봅니다. 바루스의 경우 사실 미드 라인도 원래 주 포지션으로 계획하고 있었으며, 챔피언 스포트라이트에 포함시키기까지 했습니다:

당시에는 적절한 조정이 없었으며 (역자 주: Q 쿨타임 계산방식 조정 말하는 듯), 지금과 같은 아이템도 없었기에 별로라고 결론났습니다만, 마침내 플레이되고 있는 걸 보니 기분 좋다는 것을 인정해야겠네요.

Varus mid is taking over lcs

I believe Varus mid is getting unbalanced, he can poke better than xerath and ziggs (once he gets blue it is insane) while also being able to take structures down easily ('cause he is ad of course). He's not that promped to be an easy gank when he takes   and also has his E to slow and his ult to lockdown any threat. I think he is outclassing by far the regular poke mid mages, Varus shouldn't be playing in the midlane! Remember when riot nerfed when she was taking over top? and also  and  ? I think Varus is no exception and should be rebalanced. Really, I find Varus mid unfun, specially on lcs, boring, really, and when you see him take down a  's 35% health with one Q that also goes through minions, you know there is something wrong,  can't do that.

We're keeping an eye on Varus mid, there's certainly the possibility his Q might get a bit overbearing once he's got enough CDR/Mana/AD. He is immobile though, and lacks a strong disengage on a basic cooldown. That vulnerability means he avoids some of the issues we've seen with Jayce, Nid, Ziggs etc in the past.

In terms what position champions play in anywhere they're healthy's fine by us. In Varus' particular case we were actually aiming for mid lane play originally as a primary position for him, even going so far as to include that in the champion spotlight:

That didn't end up working out at the time, didn't have the tuning on him right, nor some of the itemization he currently benefits from, but must admit it's been nice to see it getting play finally.
