[보우마스터] GMS Reboot player's improvement plan

Hello, I am a level 285 Bowmaster from GMS Reboot that you might recognize from this post I wrote awhile ago.

I originally wanted to make a post to try and get a long standing arrow platter bug fixed, but decided to also included some of my thoughts on the Bowmaster revamp and some changes I would like to see that I have yet to see mentioned on Inven. Inven Bowmasters have covered most of the problems I have with the remaster so I'll avoid repeating those concerns. I'll leave this post in English with the hopes that someone will translate it for me. I do not want to inconvenience my Korean friends with having to translate this for me as they have already done enough. I'll include some skill icons and the such to make translation easier. Some of the problems I will address are exclusive to GMS, but nonetheless I will bring them up with the hopes of seeing changes that GMS communities have been unable to get Nexon to implement. Finally, shout out to Harang, keep up the great work.



Arrow Platter and high ping/latency

At some point between when I started playing reboot and now, arrow platter was changed from being client-sided to server-sided. From watching KMS Bowmaster videos, this seems to have no effect on how platter works in KMS, but for other regions where our ping to the game's servers are higher, it makes platter unable to hit monsters that are too close to the spot of installation. My latency isn't terrible yet platter feels very bad to use. It is only worse for people with latency that doubles or more my own. I have reported this bug to GMS Nexon more than once and its been years with no change.

Note: It is possible that Arrow Platter was always server-sided and that the relocation of the game's servers is what caused me to experience inconvenience when using the skill. Regardless, making the skill client-sided would fix this issue.

I'm really hoping that posting about this bug here will get them to finally fix it.


Hurricane and Flash Mirage? targeting

I see KMS Bowmasters pushing for hurricane to prioritize hitting highest HP target in range. This would be a very welcome change. Another solution would be to have hurricane become multi-target by piercing mobs, similar to how Wild Hunter hurricane pierces while mounted. A lot of classes have bossing skills that are multi-target and I think this is strictly better than having hurricane prioritize highest HP target. I would be happy with either of these changes but would highly prefer hurricane becoming multi-target. 
I also haven't seen a similar concern brought up about the new skill Flash Mirage. Its hard for me to tell exactly how the skill works, but I am a little concerned that the targeting logic might cause the same problems current hurricane has if it indeed does not have highest HP targeting.


I also noticed that Flash Mirage's range is small, and although not super important, it would be nice if the homing range was increased.


Sharp Eyes hyper skills

These hyper skills are very outdated and unimpactful but we are forced to take two of them because Arrow Lane/Uncountable Arrows hypers are useless unless you are training. I was hoping the explorer remaster would change these to be impactful. I would like to see the extra critical rate hyper changed to critical damage (maybe 10%) and the IED hyper give 15-20% IED instead of 5%. This way, Bowmaster has some usefulness in party play aside from being a pure damage dealer that provides very little actual damage. I find it very unfair that almost all the classes with very strong party buffs also deal very high damage compared to Bowmaster (Battle Mage, Mechanic, Dawn Warrior). This problem is exacerbated in GMS because we are able to reach two attack speed stages lower than KMS. This makes classes that benefit from attack speed around 15-20% stronger on average then they are in KMS. Its very sad that a lesser funded bishop deals similar damage to me in solo play, with infinitely more value in party play. The same applies to other support classes to an even worse extent.

Another option is to change Sharp Eyes to Flash Mirage hypers while not taking away anything from current Flash Mirage. Although I dislike this option out of the two because I think its more prone to leaving Bowmaster in a less useful state after nerfs.


Not being able to reach max jump naturally

Not much to say about this one. For whatever reason, Bowmaster can't reach max jump without having jump from flames (additional stats). I have no idea why this is, but please change it.

GMS Arrow Lane/Uncountable Arrows vs Hurricane bossing

Part of the reason why hurricane is currently better than Arrow Lane for single target DPS is that Bowmaster has a lot of 'final attack'-type skills that benefit from hurricane's high hit rate (Advanced final Attack, Magic Arrows, Afterimage Shot, Armor Break ). There's a very good chance with the upcoming change to Afterimage Shot and the new skill Flash Mirage, that in GMS with GMS attack speed, using Arrow Lane during burst will be better than using Hurricane. This is because the change to Afterimage Shot doesn't rely on Hurricane's high hits per second during its 30 second active portion and the way Flash Mirage values ​​1 Hurricane hit as 1/10 of an Arrow Lane hit. The last time this was the case, Nexon reworked Armor Break to enforce the Hurricane bossing playstyle.

I'm not sure how likely this problem is to also apply to KMS but I think the solution is to buff hurricane while not taking away power from any of our other skills. Bowmaster's damage is already below average (very bad in GMS) so another buff is not out of line. I like the Afterimage Shot change. It gives us more burst in a meta where burst trumps consistent DPS and I like how easy the condition is for the skill to continue attacking for the 30 second duration.

I'm not entirely sure if Flash Mirage should be changed to try and solve this problem but as long as its a net buff and it doesn't take away from our burst damage potential and mobbing, such a change wouldn't be bad.


Genesis Weapons and the Explorer branch

One of the main attractions to the Explorer branch is the ability to job change to a few other classes. This perk is heavily weakened by the nature of Genesis Weapons, unless you are an Explorer Mage. I'm surprised at how little KMS players seem to care about this problem. I personally wanted to try Pathfinder for years after its release and now that its finally available for job advancement, I don't have the opportunity to play it because losing my Genesis Weapon means I can't clear Seren weekly and soloing bosses becomes much more difficult. 

I would like to have the option to either liberate more than one Genesis Weapon, or have my weapon exchanged for the weapon of whatever class I am job advancing to. Please let me have the full Explorer experience like Explorer Mages.


GMS equipment swapping

GMS has a problem where we are unable to swap gear under certain conditions that would normally be fine in KMS. Most summons apply this restriction when they are hitting a boss. Getting hit by a boss also applies this restriction. For example, you can not change your gear while either Arrow Platter or Guided Arrow are hitting a boss. This is very inconvenient and requires you to cancel Guided Arrow and replace Arrow Platter somewhere it wont hit the boss. 

We have been asking for this change for a very long time but still have not received it. Hopefully asking on Inven will maybe change that.
