간단히 요약해서 '한국팀 스타일 따라하지 말고 우리들만의 스타일을 만들자!' 인데 중간중간 한국팀들이 스크림 정보 공유한다는 등의 개소리가 너무 작렬해서....

혹시 몰라서 원문도 같이 첨부해 봤습니다.

In light of Aphro's recent interview I thinkNA teams should cease bootcamping in Korea. If teams are going to fly aroundthe world to play against Koreans only to be forced to play their best in a setof 5 games while their opponents play subpar on purpose so they can"prove" they're worth scrimming, then I don't think it makes sense toattend Korea anymore. Despite the irresponsible way Weldon talked about scrimsharing, I don't see it being farfetched at all to believe that Koreans shareinformation with each other about NA teams. Look at how prepared they alwayslook against NA teams and are never surprised by their drafts for the most partand always seem to have the perfect counter.

 

아프로무 인터뷰 보고 느낀건데 북미 팀들은 이제 한국에서 전지훈련 그만 해야 할 것 같아. 팀들이 한국팀들 상대로 스크림에서 온갖 힘 다 쓰면서 5전제 하는 동안 한국팀들은 스크림 하는 구색 내려고 대충 한다면 한국에 가는게 무슨 의미가 있겠어? 웰던 스크림 발언은 부적절하긴 했지만 한국팀들이 북미팀 스크림 정보를 공유한다는 게 완전 거짓말은 아닌 것 같다고 생각해. 한국팀들은 항상 북미팀 상대로 당황하지 않고 완전 준비된 것처럼 카운터픽을 항상 준비해 오잖아.

 

NA teams are constantly shit on for tryharding in scrims and exposing too much, but KR teams aren't forced to playtheir best and fear losing a scrim partner or being considered too shit toscrim like NA teams are. The only reason they tryhard in scrims is because ofthe inferiority complex NA teams have towards Korean teams. It's a malicioussystem that takes advantage of other teams' admiration of KR and then foreignteams are shit on for complying with it anyways.

 

북미팀들은 항상 스크림하다가 다 까발리고 좆되지만 한국팀들은 북미팀들처럼 스크림 상대를 잃거나 스크림 상대 가치가 없다고 내버려질까봐 열심히 할 필요가 없어. 한국팀들이 열심히 하는 이유는 북미팀들이 한국팀들 상대로 가지는 콤플렉스 때문이야. 한국팀들을 향한 다른 팀들의 동경심을 이용해먹는 나쁜 시스템이고 외국팀들은 그 방식을 따르느라 좆되지.

Then you look at a team like ANX and yousee how flustered Koreans can get. I think NA tries too hard to adopt the metaof Korean teams and that's why they never had as much success against them asteams from EU or CN or even TW. We constantly try to copy them while thoseteams always maintain their own meta, GMB/M5 is a perfect example of this whenthey were in their prime and always beating Koreans, they always playeddifferent things and created the meta and were always able to surprise Koreans.CLG's best international performance came from scrimming NA teams back home andlook how they surprised everyone with their Soraka pick at MSI and were able tofinish so well in the tournament.

 

ANX팀은 그러지 않아도 한국팀들을 당황하게 했지. 내 생각에 북미팀들은 한국 메타를 너무 따라가려 하고 그래서 유럽이나 중국, 심지어 대만 팀들보다 한국팀 상대로 못하지. 저들이 그들만의 메타를 만드는 동안 우린 항상 베끼려고 해. 갬빗/M5가 그들의 전성기 때 바로 이런 식으로 한국팀들을 항상 이겨왔지. 매번 다른 것들을 시도하고 메타를 만들어서 한국인들을 당황시켰어. CLG는 북미팀들과 스크림해와서 가장 좋은 국제경기 성적을 거둘 수 있었고 MSI때 소라카 픽으로 다른 팀들을 놀라게 하고 좋은 성적을 거뒀잖아.

 

TSM looked like they were playingnoticeably different after the lane swap meta changed and I'd say worse thanusual because they were trying to adopt the Korean meta of gaining smalladvantages gradually meanwhile in NA they were always super aggressive andlooking for big plays around the map. NA teams this year went to Korea, all ofthem got sick, their scrims got leaked, and they didn't eat well or healthy atall and wasted a shit ton of money only to have KR teams deny them scrims afterforcing them to show their hand to prove themselves then complain about thepossibility of NA teams sharing info with each other when KR teams obviouslyshare info (why else would SKT and SSG both play Zyra conveniently out ofnowhere unless they were sharing strong picks with each other and what has beenworking).

 

TSM은 라인스왑 메타 변경 이후로 눈에 뛸 만큼 못해졌고 이는 그들이 조금씩 이득을 보는 한국 메타를 따라하려 했기 때문이야. 북미에서 그들은 항상 공격적이고 맵 전체에서 기회를 만드는 스타일였는데 말야. 한국으로 간 북미팀들은 다 아팠고, 스크림은 유출됬고, 제대로 먹지도 못했고 거기까지 가느라 돈을 무진장 낭비했지. 정작 한국팀들은 북미팀들 전략을 다 안 다음에 북미팀이 스크림 유출한다고 스크림 거절하는데 말이야. 그리고 한국팀들은 확실히 정보를 공유하고 있지 (그게 아니면 왜 SKT와 삼성이 갑자기 자이라를 고르고 있겠어?)

I think if you wanna defeat Korean teamsthe way you do so is by bringing them out of their comfort zone as much aspossible. Leave them in an island and have them constantly trying to guess whatyou're going to do or pick. We had the home advantage this year but we didn'tutilize it at all, we went to our opponents' turf instead of utilizing theadvantage of familiarity we'd have of NA. Constantly having to change sleepschedules and diet, not once but twice since we go to KR and then come back whileKR teams only had to change both one time since they got to stay comfortably intheir gaming houses, the food they know, and not change anything about theirpatterns or practice gives them the power and advantage over the situation.

만약 한국팀들을 이기고 싶다면 내 생각엔 그들만의 안락한 공간에서 벗어나게 해야 한다고 봐. 섬에 남겨두고 우리가 뭘 고를지 저들이 계속 안달나게 하는 거지. 올해에는 홈 어드밴티지가 있었지만 북미팀들이 이를 제대로 활용하지 못했어. 북미의 익숙한 시설을 이용하는 대신 적들의 진지로 갔지. 한국팀들이 자기 게이밍 하우스에서 편안하게 있고 익숙한 음식을 먹는 동안 북미팀들은 시차와 식단을 한번도 아니고 두번이나 바꿔야 했고 이는 한국팀들에게 매우 유리한 상황을 조성했어.

Teams will start beating Korean teamswhen they stop bending over to please them. Playing the KR meta like TSM didgives KR teams less to worry about, they know how to p/b against you and theonly thing you have to hope for is to outplay them since they've played theirmeta more than you and will most likely outdraft you. NA teams need to be moreexperimental, they need to trust in themselves and their game knowledge, theyneed to create their own meta and bring out those surprising picks that changethe game completely and forces other teams to adapt to them. I hope TSM, CLG,and C9 don't decide to do a KR bootcamp in the near-future just to see howdifferent the results will be.

한국팀들에게 무릎꿇고 애원하는 걸 그만한다면 그들을 이길 수 있을거야. TSM처럼 한국팀 상대로 그들의 메타로 상대한다면 한국팀들은 걱정할 이유가 없어. 어떻게 픽밴을 할줄 알고 메타도 자기들 꺼니까 신경써야 할건 더 잘하면 되는 거거든. 북미팀들은 더 실험적인 방법들을 택해야 해. 자신들의 게임 지식과 실력을 믿고 새롭게 메타를 만들어서 다른 팀들로 하여금 그들에게 적응하도록 새로운 픽을 해야 할 거야. TSM, CLG, C9 모두 앞으로는 한국에서 전지훈련을 그만둬서 결과가 어떻게 될지 두고 봤으면 좋겠어.

 

 

TLDR; KR teams always get to play at their most comfortable when teamsgo to KR to scrim them. ANX at world's and CLG at MSI were able to succeed andtake ppl by surprise because they hid strategies from not scrimming teamsoutside their region. KR teams obv share strats (SKT AND SSG playing Zyra) andNA teams bend over to please them in order to get scrims. NA teams lose money,sleep, healthy eating, health overall, and comfort by bootcamping in Korea.Koreans usually lose against teams that don't play like them at all and areable to surprise them/be unpredictable. Playing the KR meta like TSM seemed totry to do in playoffs and at world's makes it easier for KR to scout you out.NA teams should formulate their own meta because Koreans will always playtheirs better.

 

요약: 한국팀들은 다른 팀들이 스크림 하러 오니까 가장 편안한 상태에서 경기할 수 있어. 이번 롤드컵ANX와 MSI때 CLG는 다른 팀들 상대로 스크림을 안했고 전략을 숨겨서 좋은 성적을 냈고 사람들을 놀라게 했어. 한국팀들은 정보 공유를 하는게 틀림없고 (SKT와 삼성 다 자이라 선택) 북미팀들은 어떻게든 한국팀이랑 스크림 하려고 애걸복걸하지. 북미팀들이 한국에 전지훈련 가서 돈, 잠, 건강한 식단, 건강, 편안함 모두 다 버리고 있어. 한국팀들은 그들의 메타를 따르지 않는 팀 상대로 지는 편이고 그런 식으로 한국팀들을 당황하게 할 수 있어. TSM처럼 한국의 메타로 한국을 상대하면 한국팀들이 전략을 읽기가 더 쉬워지지. 한국팀들이 항상 더 잘 할 거니까 북미는 북미만의 메타를 만들어야 할 거야.

 

 

Edit: Because the Twitter analysts want to strawman my posts andclearly don't understand the point I'm making. This post isn't about why TSMlost, though I focused in on TSM mostly because that is the team I am MOSTfamiliar with. This post is merely an opinion about why the KR bootcamp overallisn't worth it because the negatives outweigh the benefits. I'm well aware thereason for TSM's losses were primarily due to the underperformance of the botlane and choking but this isn't about why teams lose. I'm merely stating thatthe amount of resources that go into a KR bootcamp only for teams toessentially adopt different playstyles than the ones they have played theentire season and basically try to perfect something within the span of a monthas opposed to perfecting their own style they've been playing for 6 months- ayear is inefficient and makes no sense.

트위터 분석가들이 내 글 극딜하고 내가 말하고자 하는 점을 이해 못하는 것 같아서 수정할께. 이 글은 TSM이 왜 졌냐에 대해서가 아니야. 난 단지 내가 TSM이 가장 익숙해서 그런 것일 뿐. 이 글은 그저 한국 전지훈련이 장점보다 단점이 더 많아서 별로 의미가 없다는 걸 말하려고 한 거야. 물론 TSM이 봇라인이 망했고 좋은 플레이를 보여주지 못해서 졌다는 건 잘 알고 있어. 다만 그들이 최소 6개월-1년간 했던 스타일을 더욱더 완성하는 것보다 한국까지 큰 돈 들여가면서 가서 한달만에 새로운 스타일을 배우려는 게 이해가 안된다는 것 뿐이지.

 

 

The negatives are many, and the positives haven't really beenshown. The results haven't been consistent, there haven't been many teams thathave come back from a KR bootcamp that looked significantly better, I'd loveproof otherwise. I think it makes much more sense to perfect the game you areplaying and the style you have than to copy another's style. You don't seeevery NBA team copying Phil Jackson's triangle offense just because he won 11championships.

 

단점은 많고 장점은 별로 있는 것 같지도 않아. 한국팀에 전지훈련 간 팀들 중 좋은 결과를 낸 팀들은 별로 없어. 증거 있으면 한번 대봐. 남들 방식 배우는 것보다 익숙한 걸 더 발전시키는게 좋은 것 같다고 생각해. 필 잭슨이 챔피언쉽 11번 이겼다고 해서 모든 NBA 농구 팀들이 그의 triangle offense 전략을 따라하는건 아니잖아?

 

NA teams need toexpand their playbook yes but they need to keep it refined to what they know,not to force on themselves a style they will never play better than theoriginal. This isn't some salty fanboy analysis this is basic theory andpractice that occurs in every single sport and e-sport. Just because Koreahappens to be the best region in the world doesn't mean they can't learn fromother regions or that they know everything there is to know about the game. TheNBA used to be huge on big 7 footers that only play under the rim, however it'sstarted to incorporate a more European style of playing basketball for big mendespite the NBA being far and away the best league in the world. I don'tbelieve the gap in skill is as large between Koreans and other regions as it isbetween the NBA and other leagues.

북미팀들은 당연히 스타일의 다양성을 늘려야하긴 하지만 그들이 잘 하는 걸 더욱더 갈고 닦을 필요가 있어. 그들이 원래 창시자보다 더 잘할 수가 없는 전략 잘 하려고 매달리지 말고. 이건 내가 TSM 졌다고 열받아서 쓰는 게 아니라 모든 스포츠와 이스포츠 기본 이론이야. 한국이 세계에서 가장 잘한다고 해서 그들이 다른 지역에서 배울 게 없는 것도 아니고 게임의 모든 걸 마스터한 것도 아니지. NBA는 원래 골대 밑에 2m 선수를 두는 전략이 유행하다가 최근에 유럽 농구 스타일을 받아들이기 시작했어. 유럽이 농구 최강도 아닌데 말이야. 롤에서 한국과 다른 지역간의 실력 차이가 NBA랑 다른 농구리그만큼 크다고 생각하진 않아.

 

 I think what is lacking in NA is a style NA iscomfortable on and the innovation and creativity to utilize that style to itsmost optimal perfection. This doesn't mean NA will outright beat Korea, but Ibelieve that NA would become a stronger region and be more likely to challengeother regions if they just perfected their own style instead of diminishingthemselves to only take from others because they don't trust in what they know.

내가 보기에 북미가 자기들 것이라고 내세울 만할 스타일과 그 스타일을 완벽하게 만들 수 있는 혁신과 창의성인것 같아. 이런다고 북미가 갑자기 한국을 압도하지 않겠지만 그들 자신을 믿지 못하고 남들의 방식을 따라가는것보다 자신들만의 스타일을 만들면 다른 지역들 상대로 좀 더 승산이 있을 것 같아.

 

 

 

 

Edit 2: People are misunderstanding. There's nothingevil or wrong with what the Koreans are doing, they have a right to use theiradvantage in this way and all power to them. They aren't evil for doing so, andalbeit the scrim sharing is not entirely confirmed yet but forcing teams toplay a set to prove themselves is, which will undeniably result in foreignteams revealing strats. It's for this reason that I think it's just better notto scrim them rather than play into that advantage where you'll always be atthe disadvantage since the KR teams will always have the power in thesituation. This post can be adapted for any other region as well, TW, EU, CHetc. I think all of the teams should do that, the only reason why Korea ismentioned in particular is because they are undoubtedly the strongest regionand they already stated in an interview that they already do this. They saidthemselves their primary scrim partners for world's are other KR teams sincethey gain no value from scrimming others.

두번째 수정. 사람들이 내 말을 이해하지 못하고 있는 것 같아. 한국팀들이 하는 게 나쁘다는게 아냐. 그들에게 힘이 주어지는데 그걸 이용할 권리가 있는 거지. 그리고 스크림 공유가 확실히 밝혀진 건 아니지만 스크림을 하면 결국 외국팀들은 전략을 노출할 수 밖에 없게 되. 이 이유 때문에 내가 한국팀들 상대로 스크림 하는게 좋지 않다고 생각하는 거야. 한국팀들이 항상 우위에 있을 거니까. 다른 지역들도 마찬가지야. 대만, 중국, 유럽등등도 다 한국 전지훈련 하지 말아야 한다고 봐. 굳이 한국을 고른 이유는 한국이 가장 실력이 출중하고 인터뷰에서 다른 지역 팀들과 스크림 해서 얻는게 없다고 한국팀들간에 스크림 한다고 말했으니까.

 

 

So I don'tunderstand how what I said is racist, xenophobic, or delusional in the least.This isn't an attempt to fling hate on Koreans or Korean teams, nor is this anattempt at racism of the sort. I'm merely stating that teams should seek togain advantages where they can in their prep and not give their opponents morefuel to beat them with. This isn't a "Korea is evil and must be destroyedpost." I find good international sports to be ones where the outcomes areunpredictable and there's variance in gameplay, and everyone has the chance tobeat the other with no entirely clear favorites. At the moment there doesn'tseem to be too much of a clash of different playstyles or metas and it's justeveryone playing whatever Korea is playing and I don't think that's aneffective strategy when it comes to beating the best teams. That's all.

그래서 난 내가 한 말이 왜 인종차별적이고 망상에 빠져 있다는 말을 들어야 하는지 모르겠어. 이 글은 한국팀들이나 한국 선수들을 비난하는 것도 아니고 인종차별하자는 것도 아냐. 난 그저 팀들이 경기를 준비하는 동안 적들에게 유리한 점을 주지 말고 좀 더 이득을 볼 수 있게 하자는 거지. 한국팀은 나쁘고 꼭 무찔러야 한다 이런 글이 아니야. 내가 생각하기에 좋은 국제 스포츠 대회는 어느 한 팀이 특별히 유리하기 보다는 결과를 예측할 수 없고 다양한 스타일이 나오는 거거든. 지금은 다양한 메타가 서로 부딪히는 것보다는 다들 한국팀이 하는걸 따라하고 있어. 강한 팀들을 상대하기에는 그리 효율적인 전략은 아닌 것 같아.
