의역이 꽤나 들어갑니다.

이건... "어느 화자"의 시점이기에.

한 평생을 바쳐, 열 목숨이 흘렀으나,

끝이 없는 것을 다시 확인할 뿐.

나는 기억하노라, 거짓된 침묵에서

1절은 아젬의 시점으로 이야기가 전개되고,

2절은 엘리디부스의 시점으로 이야기가 전개되는군요.

각각의 이상과, 현실을 보는 시각.

그리고 미래로의 비전이 담겨있다고도 볼 수 있습니다.

둘 다 물러설 수도, 물러서지도 못하는 이 싸움.

결과는 아젬의 승리로 끝났습니다만,

엘리디부스가 가진 2절에서의 생각은...

아... 눈에 땀이...
